The 90-acre plot will include South Bend Chocolate Company’s new 60,000 square foot factory, a public house, farms, an artisan village and a continental divide nature park.

ABC57 is told the complex will include a ski hill and 50 bison on the property.

The Potawatomi Zoo is a 23-acre zoological park located in South Bend, Indiana, United States. The Zoo is nestled in Potawatomi Park between the St. Joseph River and the Grand Trunk railroad in the east side neighborhood of River Park. Founded in 1921, it is Indiana's second-oldest Zoo.

The Morris Performing Arts Center, originally called the Palace Theatre until the late 1950s, was built in 1922 as part of the Orpheum Theatre chain. The theater cost $1 million to build and was constructed on a $100,000 piece of property. It was the most modern theater in the country.

In the early days, it served as a vaudeville house and shows ran continuously with a new act every ten minutes. Broadway troupes traveling from New York to Chicago would often stop in South Bend and perform on the Palace Theatre stage.

A links-style course comfortably nestled on 250 wooded acres. Expertly preserved as a wildlife habitat, the course received the coveted Audubon International certification. Lush fescue fairways, softly rolling terrain and the golden dome in the background make the course a beauty to behold.

Designed as a regulation 18-hole course in 1929, the Burke Golf Course today consists of 9 holes in the picturesque setting of Notre Dame. At 3,222 yards, this par 35 regulation golf course provides golfers with a fair challenge, in a relaxed atmosphere. Open to the public, and reasonably discounted for students, the course sits on the southwest corner of campus and can be accessed off of Hwy 933 via Dorr Road.

Juday Creek is an 18-Hole Championship Golf Course in Granger Indiana, minutes from The University of Notre Dame and conveniently located just off the Indiana Toll Road between South Bend, Mishawaka and Elkhart and just south of the Michigan state line.

"The Creek", as it is affectionately known to regular players and members, is open to the public every day for play. Our course features bent grass tees, greens and fairways, 56 bunkers and 13-holes with water. There are 5-sets of tees to make the course fun for every level of golfer.

Brothers is a modernized throwback to the old Midwestern corner tavern. A clean, relaxed social hangout; our bar stock-full of cold beer and drink with a kitchen in the back serving up comfortable American food fare. Located in downtown South Bend, the East Race Waterway is a one-of-a-kind recreational facility. As the first artificial white water course in North America, its rapids rival those of the Colorado River and can generate waves up to six feet or higher. It is approximately 2,000 feet long with a total fall of about 12 feet depending on the flow of the river. The water level can be controlled via three headgates and the placement of obstacles that create whitewater turbulence from novice to professional levels. The banks of the East Race offer more than five miles of paved and lighted walking/running paths along the scenic St. Joseph River. The East Race is open Saturdays (Noon – 5:00PM) and Sundays (Noon – 4:00PM) from June – August 21.

The Potawatomi Conservatories is a set of three indoor conservatories and botanical gardens in South Bend, Indiana, in the United States: The Ella Morris Conservatory; the Muessel-Ellison Botanical Conservatory, and the Muessel-Ellison Desert Dome.
